Charging of electric vehicles is provided free of charge by Aalborg City Council as part of the municipal authority’s efforts to promote sustainable traffic. Please note that electric vehicles must pay normal parking tariffs at these charging points.

Low-emission zone
In central Aalborg a low-emission zone has been implemented for heavy goods vehicles and buses. In order to be able to drive into the low-emission zone, heavy goods vehicles and buses must meet special emissions standards related to particle emissions or have a particulate filter fitted. On the Environmental Protection Agency’s website you can find everything you need to know about low-emission zones, including legislation concerning low-emission zones, low-emission zone requirements, low-emission zone registration marks, dispensations, etc.
