Step into another time
You might not be aware of it, but AKKC hides a true treasure trove. In the basement, there are a variety of rooms that stand out a bit more than the others.
When you move down to the basement of AKKC, it’s like stepping into a time capsule.
Here you will find the rooms -1.01 Klosteret, -1.02 Snapsen, and -1.03 Gaden, which all share the characteristics of being decorated and furnished in a completely different way than our other meeting rooms – they are old-fashioned in a cool way!
Red carpets, chandeliers, old paintings, pictures, and old-fashioned furniture help create a very special atmosphere in these rooms.
The charming rooms exude history, inviting a very special kind of meeting or gathering.
These rooms do not have modern AV equipment, etc., so they are ideal for holding a more old-fashioned meeting, but there is, of course, the possibility of a large screen projector and screen in the rooms.
In the basement, you will also find -1.04 Keglepubben and -1.05 Kegleloungen.
At AKKC, we have named our many rooms after Aalborg’s famous landmarks. ‘Klosteret’ refers to Aalborg Monastery, or the Monastery of the Holy Ghost, as it is also called. The monastery was built in 1431 and has historically served both as a place where the poor and needy could seek shelter and help, and to house Churchill-klubben, which was one of Denmark’s first resistance/sabotage groups during World War II.
If you wish to book this room for a meeting, it can be booked here, and if you wish to book it for gatherings and dining, the booking should be made via Restaurant AKKC by MEST.
