People, environment, and economy
AKKC aims to lead the event industry in working with sustainable efforts within the frameworks of people, environment, and economy, and within the regulatory frameworks we operate in.
In AKKC’s sustainability efforts, we focus on:
1) The human resources, opportunities, and needs in the ongoing work with sustainability.
It is important that we accommodate the different needs, wishes, and opportunities, because it preconditions us to collectively work towards more sustainable behavior.
2) The environmental resources and thinking long-term regarding the resources that are not in unlimited supply.
We will use renewable energy, focus on extending the lifecycle of materials, and strive to recycle what can be recycled.
3) That the human and environmental resources will result in a healthy economy for the benefit of customers, partners, and suppliers.
Through our sustainability efforts, AKKC will contribute to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. We therefore commit to selecting goals and sub-goals and implementing these in our sustainability work, as well as continuously evaluating our contributions to the goals.
AKKC will use the house’s platform and network to spread the sustainable message and promote sustainable behavior in others.
This will be ensured through clear and open communication about the work with sustainability and in close collaboration with others, recognizing that we and society share the responsibility for change.
At AKKC, we set goals for our work with sustainability. As we achieve each goal, we will continuously set new ones and further develop our sustainability policy.
To ensure sustainability work within and outside the organization, AKKC will allocate the necessary financial resources for this purpose.
