The Team

Restaurant AKKC by MEST and Restaurant Podium are owned by Mette Nygaard Klausholm and Stefan Klausholm Petersen, who are trained as a waitress and chef, respectively.

They previously managed Svalegaarden MEST in Hasseris and Restaurant MEST, where they won special awards such as “Bistro” at Gericke 2012 and “Brasserie of the Year” in the Danish Dining Guide 2013.

Their partner in the venture is Michel Lycoops, a chef trained at Ruths Hotel in Skagen, who has also worked at Brøndums Hotel in Skagen. Michel also helped win the Danish Chef Championship in 2008.

Restaurant AKKC by MEST

Restaurant AKKC by MEST handles all catering at AKKC—from meetings and conferences to concerts and parties. They offer meaningful meals, delicious dishes delivered with precision, right on time.

With the philosophy that “everything is possible,” they focus on creating excellent dining experiences for our guests.

The restaurant is not only known for top-tier taste experiences but also for their commitment to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. They actively engage in projects with a positive climate impact, from human-level initiatives to decisions regarding raw materials, transport, food waste, local suppliers, and sustainable alternatives.

Podium

Restaurant Podium is our à la carte restaurant, offering popular French classics such as Steak Tartare, Moules Marinières, and Croque Madame, complemented by monthly specialties.

The restaurant is open for lunch from Monday to Saturday at 11:30 AM and for à la carte dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings from 5:00 PM.

On selected days during major cultural events, à la carte dining will also be available.
