The Singing Trees

As the only place in the world Aalborg Kongres & Kultur Center can proudly present a unique artist park with singing trees.

Since the mid-80s major celebrities have immortalized themselves by planting a tree in Aalborg's beautiful city park. A unique and very unusual idea which director Ernst Trillingsgaard came up with and which became a reality back in 1987 when Sir Cliff Richard planted the first tree as a symbol of his visit to the city.

Since then the spade has been swung no less than 76 times when prominent guests have stuck the spade into the ground, and planted their tree in Kildeparken.

Music to nine specially selected stars
This year Ernst Trillingsgaard has taken the idea of the singing trees to a new and creative level as the trees of nine specially selected stars who have given concerts in Aalborg will come alive with music.

From 21 September 2011 well-known verses from the nine selected artists' songs will flow into the park when you activate the sensational trees.

76 prominent artists have planted a tree
Since 1987 76 stars have taken root in Aalborg's most beautiful city park by planting their own tree as a symbol of their visit to Aalborg.
