Inspiration for an after-hours meeting:
An after-hours meeting is recommended for product lauches, sales
kick-off meetings, lectures, information sessions for employees and
business partners.
If the topic is known by the organizer, the delegates should be
comprehensively informed about the content / purpose.
Well in advance of the meeting, the participants can be
asked to answer a few questions, so that their knowledge and
opinion of the topic is known. After the event, questionnaires can
be circulated in order to see whether or not you achieved the
desired outcome of the meeting.
After-hours meetings are held in a stylish, modern and
high-ceilinged meeting room.
After-hours meetings are often one-way communication and
therefore, the seating layout will often be theatre style as
interaction between the delegates is not necessary.
It is important to include breaks during meetings for delegates
to strech their legs and dialogue with other delegates, organizer
and perhaps speaker. A "Speaker's Table" is set up in the lobby
area. Here the speaker(s) and organizer(s) will elaborate on any
issues and possibly assess if additional information should be sent
to the delegates.
On arrival, the delegates will be served freshly
brewed coffee / tea, spring water and fruit from the buffet. Spring
water is served in bottles for the delegates to bring into the
meeting room.
During the break freshly brewed coffee / tea is served from
the buffet.
Evening meal is standing, thus giving the delegates an
opportunity to mingle and at the same time get some
exercise. The evening meal is sandwiches /
baguettes (2 per person) and 1 soft drink/ spring water.
Sandwiches / baguettes are made with different kinds of
bread and delicious filling.
